Wanted to share with my new 2.5 Gallon Pico Tank in the making.. im making it for my desk at work, so far i just finished gluing in all the pieces, just waiting for it to dry

still in planning but thinking of the following:

Lighting: Coralife 2-18W PC: (less there is something better for the same price or less)
Return Pump i already own a Maxi Jet: 145 ghp, SO? Dont know if i should just buy something a with a little less flow as its such a small tank?

so my question is really am i on the right track with the equipment and what should i aim to stock this with, a goby maybe and some frags.. can i do some LPS or SPS maybe:

Whats your all thoughts so far.. i still need to clean up the tank a little tomorrow..

Looking good! I love your design! But sorry to say no SPS or LPS under power compact. Just softies, but if your heart is really set on SPS you either wannna get a 70watt Metal Halide or Do a DIY led fixture which im sure evil could help you out with.

yeah ive been looking at Leds, i think an MH would like a little over the top at my little office cubical.. but idk about the cost? i have no issues with DIY projects, in fact im all about them.. if someone has done a DIY Led on a tank like this can you let me know what the projected cost would be.. and how its turned out.

Wanted to post an update,

Tell me what you all think.. i had an older T5 2X24w laying around and decided to go with that for the time being.. what kinda coral would thrive under such lighting in such a small tank.. im still up in the air on what to stock this with.. Any Ideas?

Also im going to change the floss to some cheato. when would be a good time to add some cheato, now or after its cycled?

Still unsure what to put in it when the time comes.. any ideas? i have three LFS in the area that are stocked w/ corals, asking as this is my first Pico Tank!! could i add an Frogspawn or Pulsing Xenia coral?
