I have a Purple Hornet Zoa colony that I purchased On Jan 7th of this year. I paid $350 for 4 polyps and a couple of babies, it now has 19+ polyps on it. I would do not want to frag it but someone could and make some good money on it. I will take $750 for the colony!!

LOL pretty sure, I just dont want to get into fragging it, im not that good at it. I would rather sell the whole colony and let someone whos good at fragging do it, and they can make the profit.
scubasteve2580
i understand.. too bad though
BobbyL1212
It's understandable, I am not saying that it is a bad deal, but people are quite hesitant when buying large colonies, especially of pricier corals.

LOL I undestand!! I thought my wife was going to kill me when I paid $350 for the 4polyps that started this colony. She just shook her head!!

I wish I could frag it but I just dont want to risk ruining the colony since im definately a novice fragger.
scubasteve2580
yeah i just fragged some of my zoas.. not to bad but they squirt.
scubasteve2580
if you change your mind about fragging please let us all know. im sure you wouldnt have any problems getting rid of them
Lawnman
Send the Colony to me I will frag them babies for you. tongue.gif

Your title says 39 a polyp now, are you going to frag them?
Tenacious716
IMO get a good pic and put it on eBay... you'll probably double your asking price.

Someone needs to hop on this, you can make a good penny and still keep a nice frag!

No sorry I am not fragging them, I just broke down the per polyp price for the whole colony.

I actually am thinking about Ebay, but thought I would give the nanoreefers a chance at it first.

I would definitely pick this up and frag it if I had enough people committed for frags. Plus, just the thought of a meltdown of a colony like that.....

It's pretty obvious that the OP isn't comfortable fragging the piece and to be frank, I don't blame him. My first fragging (let alone of single polyps) wasn't very pretty and coming from someone who already owns PHs, they tend to be "pissy" for a bit after fragging so if something happens he's out $750.

To the OP: You've got a PM.

moto826
what will it cost to ship to 98502 thanks pm me price i night need them
shan
Just counted the polyps this morning while they were closed with the lights off and looks like I miscounted... there are 24 polyps!!!! LOL MIght have to rethink this price!!

I know somebody who might be interested... I let them know so they might send you a PM.

No one has $750 to invest in a colony of Purple Hornets. Plus if you had them grow that fast then don't you think others can grow them that fast also? The problem is that the purchaser might feel that is too big of an investment for little to no return. Right now you can buy Purple Hornets for 30-60/each 3-6 months down the road they should be available between 10-20/each just like NG's & PD's.

If you wish to sell your whole colony for $350 please let me know if not best of luck with your sale.

Thanks for your feedback, but have you tried to find purple hornets?? They arent that easy to get. And Ive never seen TRUE purple hornets for anything under $60-$70/polyp. And for you to assume no one has $750 to invest, I think you are quite wrong. But again, thanks for your opinion.

Guys come on cut it. Its a SALE thread, if you aren't going to buy it flake off and let the guy conduct his business.

FYI
True purple hornets under 60 I've seen at thedigitialfishroom, and I didn't even try that hard to find them. Don't forget about frags.com I've seen them there too.

I just don't want people to see this and assume they cannot find some for less than 60 when really they can.

I'm not bashing your sale btw, can't find a better deal right now than yours. Good Luck.

I know the rules. My comment is not negative or argumentative towards his sale. It was directed towards his comment about finding true PH for under 60 dollars. smile.gif

Umm, at first he was selling a colony that cost $39/p. Now he's selling it for $31.25/p. I do not see this as unreasonable. In fact it's in the very lower portion of the price range YOU gave of how much they cost. So I don't understand why you're complaining about the price.

And where do you start off by generalizing the entire population. Just because you don't have the money to buy a frag doesn't mean others out there don't. I'm am not rich, but I would have no problem buying a frag like this for $750. Again, don't put every person in the same basket that you are in.

And it was people like you 6 months ago that said in 6 months time the price will be $5/p. The price hasn't changed a significant amount over the past few months and there is a high chance that it still won't.

This is a gorgeous looking colony. By far one of the cheapest prices I've seen. Now if only I could convince the wifey tongue.gif

Im just bumping this thread a few more times, before I move the colony on to Ebay.
