so my lfs told me i'm getting my tank on the 25th (my birthday)
nice birthday gift to myself. although it does put me a little behind the rest of the pack.

also, there will be a change of plans.
well, actually, i'm really reverting back to my original plan.

i don't want to reveal too much yet, until I physically get the tank, but I will show this:

It's a dummy tank until my real tank arrives. It's actually pretty close to the real tank's dimensions.

We might be born on the same day/year! I'm Wednesday. If you go with the NFS set-up, you will make me really jealous! If I didn't have so many other corals and plans to take down my 28g, I would be all over it. There are some pieces I have that I can't deal with letting go of. Looking forward to updates from you though.

Edit: I misread your post thinking you were turning 25 soon, not having a b-day on the 25th, lol.

My LFS totally flaked on me, and told me it's going to be another week before the tank gets here.
I should've known, I know about their history of being late, but I guess I was too optimistic.

In the meantime, I'm storing my rocks in a spare tank and NPS in my main tank. Nitrates are building in that tank from the massive amount of feeding, and my SPS are browning

Hey Mew, that red flat macro is currently growing all over my tuxedo urchin, lol!! I think it had some attached to it back before I moved and retained it into the current tank setup. Cool stuff!!

I liked the second one, but it was a little high, so I'm working on getting the acrylic part a little short with the same scape. Feedback would be appreciated!

Heh, the cardboard model is going to be made in acrylic, with slots added so that I can put powerheads, carbon, floss, etc in there.
The tank was made by Visio, order placed by my LFS. It's pretty decently nice! Here's a shot of the edges:

The dimensions are 15" x 14" x 11".
I'm a fan of shallow tanks, and I really really enjoyed my last tank of similar dimensions (15" x 15" x 12") that I just had to get this dimension.

Tell me about it, tough enough keeping my SCNRS tank prestine in the scratch dept... =/

The cardboard is going to be replaced by an acrylic piece siliconed into place, and the white sheet of paper, I think I'm going to use car window tint.
