hi all
ok so i took down my biocube 14 and it was sitting empty in my living room and all i saw was a "new project" lol so...

THE PLAN: remove the rim, remove the false wall, drill the back for 2x 1" external Durso pipes and 1x1/2" return, custom false wall with the overflow at the center, Viper 70w MH, 2 koralia nanos,10G AGA tank for a sump, saphire nano skimmer, custom ATO,reefkeeper lite, and some more that i forget at the moment.

SO FAR: the rim is off, the false wall is off (MAJOR PITA) and currently working on cleaning the silicone and the glass while waiting for my drill bits to get here.

QUESTIONS: will the tank be safe with no rim?? will 1/4" acrilic be ok for a false wall or it will need support and how??

thanks alot in advance.

here some pics that i got so far

I haven't seen anyone doing this(or maybe I'm just forgetful, seems like it would have been done by now). I can tell you from personal experience that you have to be reallly careful drilling the back glass. It is drillable(I drilled mine).

I've seen rimless AIO tanks. I"m not sure if it was a 14g biocube, but I've seen a few of them. I think you'll be just fine.
