You know I tried hard to find this on line and could not find it for the life of me. I asked the dude at the LFS why and he says that the tank is fairly new to the market still...I think there is also a 20g version
The outside of the box says Marina - Style 10 -no model # but here is the UPC-015561152556
The pic I took is the front of the box...the other side has some FW fishy pix
HTH if not ask your LFS about them

Wow...great find!!! Makes me want to join in with one of those.
I would definitely paint the back. I've had black, and blue backgrounds...black is my favorite, by far! The corals really pop with it.

I work at an LFS in KC and we just got a bunch of em in. Our owner said he ordered them months ago and forgot about em until they came the other day. I wanna pick one up but he doesn't know the pricing as of yet because they forgot to send the invoice.
We got in 5g, 10g, and 20g versions. The flourescent version is a GLO T8 bulb.

I so would...but I really shouldn't be spending extra money right now. With the holidays coming and everything is due in December...property tax, house insurance, car insurance, health insurance, etc...it's an expensive month for us. Otherwise, I would so be doing this with that tank

I painted my rimless 3g pico...and I think it looks great. Check it out for an idea

If you want to win, paint it dark red. Cherry Red or Red Pepper are both available from Krylon Fusion. I'm not even kidding...

Black backgrounds rock! The blue background has too much of an "ocean box" look, compared with the black, which is a "look at the colors" look.

Nov 9 2009, 07:40 PM
If you do exotic colors the black is great, but for some colors the blue is nice. I think black could work assuming you're going for some crazy corals (seeing the 70w sunpod makes me think so).
Looking great so far! I love that tank. I wish they carried it in my area, that's less than I payed for my 10g setup.

I've been tossing the idea around of painting the background green so as to trick the algae in thinking it has already grown and therefore it won't grow.

paint it purple so it looks like coralline

Yea but then there would be no coralline for the rest of the tank.
When I saw your post about the rimless 10g I remembered that my LFS had some and I thought the hood was stuck on there. I then had to know. I raced to the LFS and marched to their display and sure enough I ripped off the hood and yelled "AHA you cheeky bastards!" Needless to say I got some weird looks.

lol I know they should display it without the hood...but they don't know how sexy rimless is I guess

MGD- yep I think they did a good job on the edges...why go through all that trouble and then put a hood on it
The bottom is just a plastic trim to match the hood, looks reinforced all around and on the bottom I suppose to support the tank.
Thanks guys!!
