What other plans do you have for stocking?

Is there enough room in the DFS Filter for a DIY refugium like the Aquaclear filters? This would be the best of both worlds with a refugium and skimming.

This is not the first time I have heard this
I have gotten crap service there myself, I'm not gonna lie lol but the fish selection is awesome and I deal with a few people that I go to for help...Pauline and John
I don't get why some LFS employees feel that they can treat customers like caca.
I once went in there and asked one of the ladies for help and she pointed to a blonde who then proceeded to tell me she was in the middle of a water change (with attitude) I then asked to speak with the Manager/supervisor and John very kindly helped me out....I purchased $80 worth of schtuff that night and I almost just walked out. The Manager was not there So I suppose it is only certain employees that have poor customer service skills and the management/owner will never know unless people complain...I was mad because I recommend a lot of people to go there and many of my friends have bought large tanks and livestock because of me from them and not to mention allllll the stuff I have bought as well... tanks, fish, corals, water...but after going in so many times they kinda know me now

So The Barrier Reef in Boca Raton if you read this...some of your employees need Customer Service help prz

THat place lost my business for two reasons. Price and crappy service! They act like are trash if you just want to look around. Well looking is part of the experience right? Then when you ask a question they act as if its out of their way to help you.

a lil' tidbit about the fairy basslet from Sea Life Inc. -

Royal Grammas, Gramma loreto, are also known as the fairy basselet. These are primarily imported from Haiti, and are one of the most popular and beautiful fish from the Caribbean. They thrive on most foods, are not aggressive towards other fish, and don't get real big. They do very well in reef tanks and will not bother corals and anemones. The average size is about 1.5". Unlike the grammas from Brazil, these can be kept together in aquaria and although they'll spar with each other, it is a non-lethal sparring. They are very easy to care for and will thrive on most common marine fish foods.




They eat everything I have given them...flake, pellets , live, frozen.
The macroalgae was "pearling" before the lights went out last night

The Grammas are beautiful together. I see some polyp extension on the gorg now too!!!!

Pearling is when the 02 (oxygen) concentration in the plant tissue saturates and forms a bubble of gas which then floats to the surface...or photosynthesis

Tanks is amazing Maria! Love it. It does looks like doing snorkeling at a local beach here in PR Maybe to add some more Caribbean stuff you can try a Sun coral, feather dusters or cluster dusters are cute also, Emerald crab, green banded goby... There are a few cool stuff here to make a Caribbean biotope

That's a lot of great looking macro! Me thinks I need some for my tank as well.

I forgot about the sun coral! and I do want a feather duster...just haven't found the right one yet
I am scared to add a emerald crab cause they eat macro my hermits are all ready mowing down along with the astreas and asterina stars...I keep finding them amongst the macros and kicking them out.

Well in a tank like this one I will have to keep a good eye on it. I have had prolifera before and it grows fast! so I have a refugium in my 125g that I set up for clippings and I am sure the tangs will eat some
just keep an eye on it...it doesn't grow so fast that you can't prune it. The only time a macro is a problem is if goes sexual and nukes the tank, but it will give you signs before this happens.

Well they could have been Gurgle and Furgle... yea you're right, retarded lol.


The main time my macros get all wacked is when I have an ATO malfunction and a huge SG swing. Most of them start turning clear and you better prune them quick or its cyano city lol. They are really not that out of control though. I prune mine once every couple of weeks in my fuge and it actually looks decent.

Not Tarded just fun. It's sad enough we name our fish LOL . Why not make it fun and tarded LOL

True I forgot... Wow i can get that stuff here for cheap. Feather duster $1 sun corals close to $5 if you don't find any we could try shipping them to you. You are fairly "close" to me and it shouldn't take long to get a package from here. Anyways, anything from the caribbean i got it for cheap. Just let me know if you need anything

Damn for $30 you can get a nice piece and some more stuff shipped to you!
I can get also an encrusting gorgonia that looks almost like a GSP but with a light purple/pink color. Not sure about Sea fans and whips. They're not legal to collect here so its hard to find even though you go to any beach and find thousands of them. I can also get some macro. Theres some kind of feathery caulerpa, grape, another that looks like grass, shaving brush.

I hear ya...my tangs and trigger are schmart...they know when algae sheets are coming, they get excited and follow me from one side of the tank to the other
Ha I just spent 3 days waiting for my leopard wrasse in the 125g to go thru the plumbing into my sump...he jumped into the overflow finally got him out this morning...in that tank it is hard to tell when one of my fish is missing but I always notice lol
