http://www.petmountain.com/product/aquariu...-saltwater.htmlHydor Koralia 1 Aquarium Powerhead 400 GPH- $23.99 from Alohaaquariums.com
http://www.aloha-aquariums.com/servlet/the...oralia-1/DetailCurrent USA SubCurrent Internal Filter w/ Pump - $29.99 from
http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem.asp...056&isKit=0Fujimoto rimless tank- $13.99, so only $ 3.99
7 pounds of Base Rock- $ 14.00 From Reefcleaners.com
http://reefcleaners.org/index.php?page=sho...t&Itemid=34LIVESTOCK:
True Percula Clownfish - 21.99 @ liveaquaria, so $16.50 off the budget
4 pounds of live rock, $ 16.00
TOTAL SPENT:$164.44TOTAL LEFT FOR LIVESTOCK:$185.56For this tank I am trying to keep this a simple as possible. I am going with a small filter to run filter floss in, and that's it, no chaeto, nothing. I think with weekly water changes of 20% i will be good with parameters. I am trying to keep with the Quote, " Simpler is Better":D

thanks everyone:D
so i have a question
i am using dry rock, and water from a existing tank, would it be better to use dry or live sand?
also will i have cycle a big cycle or no because i used water from an established tank?

You have to have something that already has some bacteria colonies in it. The water doesn't hold much beneficial bacteria, it's all in the live rock. By using dry rock you're going to have a nasty cycle (read: crash!) when you start adding livestock because the tank will not be able to process the nutrients. Some live sand may help, but you still need something to speed up the process of making your dry rock become live.

Use dry sand and get a hand full of live sand from your other tank and for the dry rock use spme live rock to seed it...you should not see much of a cycle.

i decided to return the Aquaclear 20 and go with a Current USA SubCurrent Internal Filter w/ Pump, it makes it look like theres an over flow but its not hahah
it just gives me more room to run carbon and filter floss, and what only like 6 dollars more:)

Clown Fish 39
Nov 19 2009, 02:01 AM
yea thats true but the arch broke when i was moving it and most of it most of it was to close to the top to put corals on it so i guess i will just move it around

Bummer on the rock arch. At least it was just rock and not a big coral colony. That'd have been a bummer.
Good luck.
