Finally got everything transfered over from my Nanocube... Good times! Here's the run down:
20 Gallon Long AGA
20lbs Sand
16 lbs Live Rock (Still need another 10ish pounds)
Lighting
Current Sundial 4 x 24 Watt T5HO stock lamps
2 - 460nm Blue
2 - 10K Daylight
Flow
Rio 150 GPH
Rio 200 GPH
Going to replace the 150 with a Koralia Nano
100 GPH HOB Filter (Filter Floss and ChemiPure when needed)
enough blah blah blah... First FTS:

Lookin good!
'd actually suggest getting dry rock to add to your new tank. That way, you avoid the problems of a mini-cycle and/or new pests. Not to mention that it's cheaper.

Thanks MJ. Good point on the dry rock - think I'll go that way. More pics when I get the new rock.

Thanks everyone! Been checking out Dry Rock at some LFS while traveling. Nothing caught my eye yet as I have a pretty good ideal what I want this to look like.

It is - when I bought him, I realized what a noob mistake I made. Way I figure it with that i have read, the flame scallops just don't make it long in any tank. I am trying to keep him happy, but it's only been a couple of months. Very interesting critter - ultimately, I will have a cave in the tank and will relocate him there to keep him out of the light.
I have to say - the T5's are MUCH nicer than the PC's on the Nano Cube AND the tank does not go above 80. My temps are now very stable between 79 and 80 day and night.
Ultimately, I want to try some new corals. With the 96 watts of T5 on a 12" high tank, I am hopeful that some SPS or Acros will do well there. I would really like to have a clam, and I know I need to let the tank mature a bit first. Do you guys think the T5's will be OK for a clam?
Thanks,
B

Well, it depends on what kinds of fixture you have. Most people would tell you for the clam to be happy under T5HO lamps, you need individual reflectors to get the most bang for your watt. Now, I think that if you put him in the upper section of your tank he would prolly do just fine. I plan on having a clam in my tank eventually and I run a Tek T5HO.

Guess I will stick with this one and let it grow out.

Thanks! Honestly, It's almost exactly what I had in my mind... So overall I am pretty happy with it. Everything seems to be adjusting well so far. I have got to get an ATO before my next vacation - going through about 1/2 gallon a day right now. Other than that I am LOVING the 20 long.

20 longs are great - and I think you did it the right way, by not cramming a bunch of live rock in there. makes it look even bigger than a 20 long. good stuff...

Haha to two island is nice with the open in the middle
I like your scape though, it gives a really nice impression of being on nice sloped reef
its got a nice clean look of its own its not overbearing with rock work.
i like the 20 long, while you dont have much height or depth to play around with, it allows for really nice horizontal scaping
its looking good, keep having fun with it

Thanks guys - going through the algae blues right now... I knew I needed some more snails, but the order I put in at my LFS did not come in. Looking kinda interesting in the tank. The rocks are great, just the substrate and the glass.
Oh well - water change and cleaning tomorrow... Hunt for snails next week.

Thanks all! Things are going well... I ordered some macro's, blasto's, margarita snails and Green Cloves this weekend. Ordered from LAReefs, pretty easy and not too expensive to ship in Ca... These are not my pics, but here are a couple of them:

I will post pics after they come in.

Have to say I am pretty jazzed - and i could not even find a picture of the other macro (they took it off the site after I ordered)
Found a new LFS in Fresno called Three Seas - they are AWESOME and super friendly. You jus tell them what you want and how much you want to spend and they frag it right there for you. Four new pieces from them (and only two zoa...) Will post pics Friday or Saturday depending on when the macros come in.

sorry to hear... Just two days with the margaritas and they seem to be doing OK. I like turbos as well, have one - but they seem to be more bulldozer than snail.
And some pics of the new stuff...

Thanks,
The blue one is actually the one that was a little disappointing. It is just a VERY small clipping - I will try to get a pic, but it is just one "layer" and the blue is barely visible yet. From what I have read, it will grow out fairly quickly and grow in the layers you see in the picture.

Soon... Starting to see growth on some of the macros (just not the one I want to see - the blue scroll.) I cleaned everything up this weekend, and had about 10 frags up on craigslist. Took all of 2 days for them to go to new homes.

I have to say, the orange Yuma just keeps spitting out babies. I took three off of the rock - all three sold, and I look today and there are three new babies.
CRUZ - your LOTR are SWEET! and I am always a firefish fan.
Violinist - I keep losing your new thread (finally bookmarked it!) Your 20L is looking good...

Pretty sure they are softies... No stony base. They were titles as "Large Green Clove Polyps" and they are much larger than most cloves I have seen. They are pretty nice and have some great color.
