once again i am here.

looking for a skimmer for my bedroom frag tank.

total water volume should be about 25 gallons(with sump).

was planning on using a tunze 9010 (overkill?) i was considering using my current tunze nano skimmer for this tank and getting a sapphire skimmer for my AP24.

key attribute is its ability to be silent or close to silent as possible. looking to spend as little as possible (ie i will spend what i need to although i don't want to over spend).

sump as of right now is a 10g. My only concern is that the 9010 requires at least 9-10 inches of water. I was planning on having my baffles much lower than that.

tunze nano would be better. the water level requirement might be an issue too.

no i will not. i had a asm mini g and thought that was rather obtrusive at night.

there is a difference between white noise and being loud and obtrusive. i can deal with certain tones and noises, but vibrating skimmers and rattling pumps i cannot.

i was told tunze is the way to go for silent skimmers. my tunze nano is great. was looking for something more sump oriented.
