they are small opportunistic predators, feed it mysis every 2-3 days and you shouldn't have a problem,

it will predominantly chill on the bottom and wait for thigs the size of PE mysis to float by then OM LOM LOM

"Able to bury itself in ambush up to its high-set eyes, what truly sets this well-camouflaged fish apart are its pectoral rays which resemble "claws." The Orangebanded Stingfish uses these for both prey capture and locomotion across the muddy sea floor.

Provide a 50-gallon or larger aquarium with enough substrate for the Orangebanded Stingfish to bury itself. Since they are carnivorous hunters, only house with other fish that won't make tempting prey for their large vacuum-like mouths." -LiveAquaria

These are not similar to lionfish. The venom of wasp/stingfish resemble that of a stone fish.... much more potent.
seahorsedreams
I have 2 of the wasp fish.....

The male

The female

The stingfish in the link was my exact fish from Diver's Den. He's coloured up very nicely since then.

The waspfish will pose a little food competition for the seahorses because he'll swim when he realizes he can get food from the water column. But feed him well from a stick and he shouldn't be so bad.

The stingfish wouldn't hurt an adult size seahorse either..... they are my most timid fish. His mouth isn't big enough for a seahorse.
PirateFX
Well color me envious, those fish are gorgeous seahorsedreams!
seahorsedreams
Thank you. And THANK YOU Diver's Den!

When I move the big ole Rhinopias out of the 60g I have about 15 of these type guys going in.
Nanobuds

seahorsedreams
