Hey, anyone got ideas on how to use this temp probe? I have it in my first chamber in my cad tank but the thing moves alot and doesn't want to stay put. My old reefkeeper 2 had a suction cup on the temp probe but not this one, which is really stupid if you ask me.

How are you all getting it to stay?

Does it fall out? I have mine threaded through my sump and up into part of a bubble trap. It waves in the water a bit but stays put well enough. If you coil the extra cord up and sort of loop it together it might help keep it from moving.

Definitely a PITA and has fallen out once or twice. Right now I have it loosely wapped around one of my probe cords and kinda curved under a baffle so it wont move. I too wish it had a suction cup on it!

A suction cup would just fail in a few months anyway, leaving you with a false sense of security and the same thing happening anyway. Maybe this is what Digital Aquatics thought when they left the suction cup off their product. Finding a way to loop it is the best thing to do, and twist tie it to a more stable cord (above water of course) if possible to keep it more stable.

i actually never had a problem with the suction cup before.

i have used a spare cord holder from my mp10 to keep it in place, maybe i should have put it deeper
