i dont see why 9.6 WPG wont be enough for SPS

I have 96w of T5HO (Nova Extreme with ATI bulbs) on my 20L and I keep SPS. I've got a green slimer acro doing well, several different monti caps growing quickly, and a birdsnest doing just fine. Not to mention all of the LPS that is doing well.

As far as lighting goes, I don't see a problem!

Or would a 70w or 150w halide better or is that a overkill.

if your on a budget id go with the 150 watt MH fishneedit fixture, great light, cheap and allows you to keep everything under the sun.

i have a 150 watt and it works great.. the temp rises when its hot but if you have a little fan then everything should be fine.

Well i just got word from parents they think that my school and hgih school isn't rated high enough for my grades and my knowledge. My teachers are all #######s . So we are moving to nashville and they said they'll help fund my tank so i am thinking more of a 29 gallon or so.

40 gallon breeder would be nice. sucks moving to a new school and making new friends though. i hope all goes well for you.

Yeah thanks it sucks cuz it will be new in first day of highschool

First days are fun, though. It gives you a new chance to be whoever you want to be. Hahah I had way too much fun my first day of law school. wink.gif cool.gif

Anyways, a 29g would be very cool! It's what I've used for my latest reef tank, and 4x24w of T5HO over it looks spectacular.
