Wow dude, if you're going to promote yourself you might as well not be so 007 superspy about it
I wouldn't buy from you ever now on the principle that you've got no ethics, thanks for showing me a new shop to avoid...
Edit - Also, now that I've looked at it, that is the sketchiest looking site I've ever seen!

proxy domain registration too...meaning the person tried to hide their name, or otherwise won't give domain info...from a vendor of goods? +1 to big ole sketchball.

Ummm...as someone in the web technologies field, proxy registration is not sketchy. It's smart.
There are a lot of bad people out there, marketers and the like that would love to cause harm with people's personal information.

if you run a legitimate business your name and contact info are public record, held by the state and made available for easy viewing. so why hide it?

Its a good idea to hide domain registration just for sake of security.
I do agree its a very sketchy way and a horrible way of promoting, pay to me a sponsor for christ sake

i dont get it, but okay....not sure how the name of a business and the business address would need to be kept secret unless it wasn't legitimate, or the purpose of the business was embarrassing. What risk is there in someone knowing your name and where your business is located? By law, don't you have to make this info available to the public?

There is nothing unsafe about knowing where a business is located, it is all public record. The owner, board members, CEO, etc..are all public record. Takes a 3 second search at the Department of state to figure it out. (not that there is a record of any business by that name in the state of CA, but if there was it would have that info)The idea is that a person who would need to make a complaint, or file a lawsuit would have to know how to find them. The yellowpages give out as much info as WHOIS. I don't know, we can agree to disagree...

So search the Secretary of State records for this guy, or don't buy from him/her.
If you don't feel safe buying, don't buy.
If you have never done business with the business, then you can't really call someone "sketchy", it's not fair to the original poster.
It's the web, there is a certain sense of trust that has to happen. You can't walk into a brick's and mortar and yell at someone.
Domain Proxies are not sketchy anyway you cut it.
I don't have the luxury of a business address other than my home, so I use a proxy service so I don't have some whacked out freak on my doorstep if I post something they don't like. It's smart, and you should agree.

No, that's the basis for calling someone sketchy. Creating a fake username to pretend like you're someone else to unethically mislead people into checking out your quite shady looking site is the definition of sketchy and untrustworthy as far as I'm concerned, especially when done with the subtlety of cracking open a walnut with a sledgehammer. That says to me that the guy lacks both intelligence and respect, two very important factors I'd be taking into account before thinking about placing an order.
Calling them something unfair without having done business with them would be saying that they don't ship or send dead corals.
Also, every site I've ever had has been on a domain proxy, there's a lot of psychos and retards out there, not to mention the fact that you junk mail goes up exponentially once you place your personal info online for any WHOIS spambot to trace...

The inconsistencies on this site are incredible. Did no one else find it fascinating that the main page and the shop look nothing alike? Or that the "Contact Us" button goes to a rocketmail.com (yahoo) email address? Or how about that the blue Grand Opening Special banner that is on the homepage links to the homepage?
I don't find things like proxy registrations sketchy. I find things like seeing "This Website was created with CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer." in the source code sketchy.
If you sell a product, the best thing you can do for your business is have a professional looking website. Doing it yourself to save a few bucks is a bad idea. Do yourself a favor and hire a web developer to redo your site. You'll get a whole lot more business that way.

I was actually doing just this kind of work today. The secretary of state's business filings will give you all kinds of information for a corporation, partnership, LLC, etc that is permitted to do business in the state.

Whoa! guys. Take it easy.
I ordered from them and just received the stock. I ordered five favites and three acro and all arrived alive today. I'll post again if any die.
There's no doubt that these guys are a home grown operation but they delivered on what their site said. Just a note, though, I contacted them by email to negotiate the shipping price and got a more reasonable deal. I assume that they are doing things themselves to save money but as long as they pass the savings along to me ... I don't care!!!
Suit yourselves but, so far, they seem okay to me.
