Hey,

My tank is cycling, and this algae is growing quite nice.

Anyone know what kind of algae it is?

Maybe some sort of Caulerpa?
johnmaloney
looks almost like an ulva species...where is the rock from, I will try to look it up for you
jthyge
The stones are bought as Indonesian Stones.

It would be great if you could look it up.... wink.gif
johnmaloney
best i can get you is a young verdigellas or ulva sp.
jthyge
Okey, thanks....

Are they ok to keep in the aquarium?

Or should I try to remove them?
FrankenReef
I think I would remove them.. looks like it could grow fairly quickly
johnmaloney
i would keep them , but i would keep most macros...they looks really easy to pluck so if you don't like them, 2 minutes of work and you are back to none.
Orphicdragon
I'd keep 'em. They look pretty.
jthyge
Okey, thanks a lot.

I will keep them, and see how they develop. fingersx01.gif
