Gracilaria sp. - Couldn't find a useful description because I don't know what the species it might be.

It looks exactly like a Gracilaria type that I received from John and also IDed by John.

Color and growth morphology is likely dependent upon the spectrum of the light it has been reared under. I'm sticking with Gracilaria for now.

My mistake, it does look like the other.

looks can be deceiving with those algae. they are both highly variant. gracilaria tikvahiae alone has like 20 different variations, and many of them look like completely different. For example this:
http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...st&id=66940is the same species as this:

go figure right?
Bump for some very healthy looking specimens!

why are PPEs are more expensive then Eagle Eyes? you dont have to buy if you dont like the prices, i paid way more then what im charging so i think its fair. please pm me with any concerns, i would like to keep this a clean selling thread. thanks

bump - I like this red macro for fuge - the new growth is fluorescent flame red/orange.
as for below - I often kiteboard in that area so from now on I'll add a small runner to my board and see if I can pick up some algae as I ride

Under higher light that red macro grows like mad. Took some out of the fuge and put it under Mh -turns dark maroon and grows even faster. Doesn't seem to spread outside of it'd clumps yet.

I get the opposite, the red close to the surface grows quick and light and the red burried under chaeto is super red. Either way, I like it, looks cool
