So I saw two of these this morning before I went to work. The lights were off, and I managed to get one out but not the other. I just got home and this guy was on the glass again. He is about a cm long, and the ends of his "back tentacles" are kinda flourescent orange.

oh man, i just noticed the same guy in my tank (again) last nite! his spines were glowing orange under my actinics. i did some research and it seems like the kind that eats aiptasia. he hasnt eaten any of my corals, so im gonna be observant and wait another few months. i looked into nudibranches a few weeks ago. it was A LOT of research before i found any info that KIND OF resembled the nudi in my tank. sorry i dont have links. if you dont wanna take the risk, remove him. i prefer to leave him. he looks cool as heck. Well, he is a zoa eater... I found another with even more flourescence by some zoas of the same color. So any tips on the next course of action?

He got tweezed! I'm going to pull out all of my zoas, inspect them, and put them in my frag tank. I'm assuming I need to do the same with my palys too. Anymore tips past that.

Manual removal.. you'll want to inspect your zoas for eggs also.. they are tiny!

I now have a frag tank full of all my zoas, minus some that were on a big rock. All of them were atleast double checked and I found quite a few eggs. I think I may be alright. There is still a small patch in my tank so I will use that for bait.

That is an aeolid nudibranch, i had one on my green dragon's eyes they eat the zoas and lay eggs on the undersides. I just scrubed them off with a toothbrush, didnt seem to harm the zoas at all. But just make sure to get rid of all the eggs they are a nusiance.

Yeah, so far that is a solid 3 hours of my life battling those bastards.

I got to the point where I was FW dipping all of the zoas in my picotope every day to get rid of those nudis. Not a big deal when there are just a couple but once they start laying eggs it can get ugly... 3 hours is nothing if you can get them all so they don't come back.

They are even cooler looking when they eat all of your super flourescent orange zoas. Whatever color flourescence they eat they then display...

Too bad there wasn't a natural way to keep them in check but allow them to live. The fact that they fluoresce is really neat.
