I'm careful to not pop them but that almost impossible sometimes. I mean the stuff is loose on the bottom so I can scoop out almost an entire net full of it. Theres plenty on the rocks too, it seems to like to grow in certain places too.

aggressive manual removal and follow up with emerald crab. stay aggressive with the removal anyway after the crab, so it gets what you can't get to. good luck with the fight! (also nutrient control never hurt)

How big is your tank? You may be able to get a fish in there to eat it if your tank is large enough, otherwise vodka worked for me.
