So I bought a heater, and it doesn't fit in the first chamber of my biocube, as expected. I tried to remove the false floor, but I cant get it out. I heard people say that it takes a lot of effort, and heard about people cutting the silicone, pulling it out, and/or cutting it. Well there's water in it and I don't want to break anything. If I push REALLY hard is there any risk of anything breaking?

EDIT: I just got owned by my mum. It took her like 20 seconds to pull it out. Darn asian mums.

I used a wooden spoon and smacked my palm against it pretty hard to get mine out. There is always a chance of breaking, I'd say, but probably a small one. I also didn't have water in it yet. You could always just cut a hole for the heater, but then you won't be able to siphon out the chamber.

took me a few tries and a large hammer ontop of a long screw driver - but it does push through.

Given this new information, I'll change my answer to just: "Yes" :-D

Just a tip for you guys... If you straighten a coat hanger and stick it through the hole in the chanber 1 false bottom it will pull up and out easily, no smashing required.
