I am looking for someone that has either of the following that they would like to see on my new website...
1. Macro coral shots
2. Full tank shots (No background, only tank)
I am looking for super hi-res photo's that you are willing to donate to me to have full rights to and use on my website and as the official logo of some of the products I am creating....
You will receive full credit on the website for the photo's along with a link that will take users to your own website, or forum thread of your choice...
You can post images below, or PM for my email....
If you have any questions feel free to ask....
Ohh yea... you will also get full bragging rights of your photos being used

I would like you to send me some high end corals for free.
I will put them in my tank AND propagate them for commercial financial gain.
You will be given full credit for them, though.

Since everyone decided to be a huge di*k about it... (latazyo especially) nevermind.. I have some photos, but was just wondering if anyone would like to submit their own.... Obviously latazyo doesn't have the tank or camera to do it so felt like trying to bash on a forum would make up for it...
Got photos already.... thanks...

Yea, the bragging rights would be web traffic back to your own website.... which if anyone had one, could equal money...

yeah, see the way photography works is photographers get paid to release the rights to their photos.
I feel bad for the poor schmucks who were dumb enough to supply you with images without compensation. I hope at least they got a signed release.
also, got a link to your website? it's not a difficult request.

I actually don't have an issue with his offered form of compensation. He'll obviously get less-quality photos, but it's an open exchange and if someone finds the value of advertisement on another site worth the pictures, then let them conduct the exchange.
My beef is that there's no site link yet.

The "poor schmucks" were a local group.. and one of them works with me also.... just asking if anyone wanted to contribute... My own photos are just as good...
Not sure why to some #######s like you it seems like a big ordeal... My Canon G10 works just fine, and I was only seeing if anyone else had some photos they wanted to offer up... I had plenty already as well as some from other people I know...

I was considering but your attitude on this thread is a little iffy and make me ? future customer service issues. Most of the people on here, Moderators esp. asked a link to your website to look at it first. Profanity is not a very good way to get help or customers.

Just didn't expect attitudes trying to see if anyone wanted to offer up some nice photos in change for some website traffic or backlinks....
Guess the people that did respond don't understand that.....
I posted about the link... website isn't up yet.... I didn't want nano-reef getting indexed by Google as something with that on there since it isn't completed yet....
It is all something in the works and one thing at a time.... Photos to go with the layout I created are next... just figured I would give this a try but it didn't work out so well...

I already have a small customer base.... been dealing with people for a long long time now... fine with that, just not cool with people attacking over something they didn't understand... I personally felt it would have been a fair trade....
I will post a link when the site is up... then if anyone would like to still contribute you can still feel free to PM me...
Thanks guys!
Thanks Xion!
Sounds cool.... I will check out your photos.

I think your missing Jere's and Lani's point here.
Yes it is a fair trade for some people for others it isn't. It depends on how they are already getting paid for their work and no offense but it also depends on the quality of your work on whether they would want to be associated with it.
You've said the site the photos would be going on isn't finished, but do you have any finished products you could use as an example?
There is no reason to get so upset over some of the comments, especially when they are asking vaild questions.
Another valid question would be what kind of site you are building and how much traffic you are expecting it to generate, because you can plug their websites on yours as much as you want, but if your site doesn't generate any traffic its kind of a worthless exchange for the rights to use someone photos.
Why do you need high resolution photos for a website? It seems to me that a mid resolution would work just fine.

Since no one has mentioned it yet... Kevin you have exactly 41 posts as of this reply. That makes you a newcomer here. That coupled with a request for photos and some vague information tends to make those here who have been here a while somewhat suspicious as well as put out that a relative stranger would come in and be asking for something like this. Couple this with how you responded to their comments and you end up with bent noses all round.
As an analogy it would be kind of like you and I meeting at the local pub briefly followed by me walking into your house uninvited, going to your fridge, helping myself to one of your beers, then ####### on your couch while complaining about how you had a really ugly wife/husband/girl/boy friend and how crappy your beer was. All in all not very good form.
Unfortunately in today's "wired" world a little something that I like to call common courtesy and politeness tend to go right out the window. Not just you but others as well. I weep for the "next" generation.
