EQUIPMENT:
10g AGA tank
fishneedit 2x24w t5 light
100w Ebo Jager Heater
~10lbs live sand
two koralia nanos
10"x20" eggcrate

-------------------------------

AND IT BEGINS....







STUFFS:
tank: 29g TruVu Tank (30"x12"x18")
light: 250w 20" sunpod with 10k mounted to 20"2x40w orbit with actinic bulbs
flow: one koralia-4
heat: 150w ebo jager
one 24"x10" sheet of eggcrate raised on pvc pipes

LIVESTOCK:
fish: one rare very pretty fairy wrasse (they didnt know name at lfs and cant find online for some reason)
CUC: coming in the mail RIGHT NOW from REEFCLEANERS.ORG biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
25lbs live aragonite sand
and of course FRAGS!!!!!!!

okay heres a few details:
29g truvu tank
25lbs sand
10 lbs liverock
24"x10" eggcrate
(4) 4"x2" pvc pipe
koralia 4
ebo jager 150w heater

lighting:
250wMH with 2x40w PC actinic

the sad part (for me and my $ situation) is that i had all that stuff in my closet...
the happy part is now it is finally set up! smile.gif

Adam I hate you and you know why ?????
Its because I have a brand new spare 150w odyssea fixture sitting here that I was going to sell on craigslist after getting that orbit fixture from a fellow nano-reefer.
Now, after seeing this. I'm contemplating on setting up a frag tank !!!

fishwise just one wrasse... and exquisite fairy wrasse i believe :/
anyway, see if you can fine him in the pic...

i cant wait to take pics! got some cool new stuff! favites colony! a couple of favia sp. plating corals! and an acan frag from australia!
also i am planning on getting a nice sized piece of hammer to frag out soon too biggrin.gif

hmm..great start, why not use a tier system in that tank...seems like you are not taking advantage of the space at all

ya im really not! laugh.gif i should redesign the layout a little... but for now its working well smile.gif
im thinking about adding a couple frag-a-racks to this tank as well...

how long will a cycle take on something like a 10 gallon with 5 lbs of sand and a little bit of rock rubble take?? and how long should i wait before fragging up some sps to put in there?

umm id wait as long as possible before adding sps... but for things like zoas it should be fine in a few weeks... really if you dont add any fish you will have a very low bioload

just to give you and idea man i started the 29g on oct 29th and i just added my first sps coral to it last night, so its been about 6 weeks.
thats a good time to wait IMO
