So today I couldn't find my skunk cleaner, Franchesco, anywhere in my 4g Finnex. Odd, because in 4g of water, finding something should be a peice of cake right? Well, at first I ignored the fact that I couldn't see him but when I came back to look several hours later, he still was nowhere to be seen. It turns out that Franchesco was behind some of the LR with his antennas (sp?) caught in part of the filter. I took him out but he looked kind of mangled and dead so I was going to take him and flush him. On my way to the bathroom, however, I noticed that his little legs were still scurrying despite the fact that it looked like his body was coming apart in all different places. After further inspecting Franchesco, I decided that he MIGHT also have been molting and so, giving him the benefit of the doubt, I put him back in the tank. He sunk straight to the bottom.

I do think that he is molting but am concerned that the filter could have done some damage to him. It has been approx 2 hours since this happened and he is still molting and still moving although very very subtly. I know you can't see him, but do you suppose he's okay/will be okay? Will only time tell?

Thanks!

Well, he died... He was definately molting, though. I think when he got caught it just screwed him up. sad.gif First fatality ever besides maybe a zoa colony, so not too shabby! Still sad, however.
