So about two weeks ago I got two false perculas. One has a little body discoloration and he has a little lice-like thing on his gill. It's teeny tiny and i'm surprised I noticed it. He continues to stay near the top of the water. This morning I noticed a white fuzzy-like dot on the back of the other clown's fins. This fish seems to act normal unlike the other one. I'm pretty new to the hobby and after hours of researching I still just don't know what it is. They both eat well so that's not a problem, and my water parameters are great except for nitrates at 15 ppm. I only have a turbo snail and peppermint shrimp also in the tank. This problem is driving me nuts, any help diagnosing would be so helpful

I can't tell whats wrong from the picture, but I have a false perc and he has some cottony growth on his body. At first it looked like ich b/c it was a small white spot, so aftering going through an ick regiment with no changes i looked for other things. All I can seem to narrow it down to is that lymphocystis disease. Mine however acts normal, just got darker.

If it was brook the fish would be dead by now. Odds are its ich.
