This is the skimmer I made for my biocube 14 to fit in with the original top. It work's well but is little loud. Any question or comments are appreciated.

do you have any plans?

The skimmer works by creating a sea swirl effect that pulls air and water from the surface. The air and water is then mixed into a froth before entering the reaction chamber. The advantage is that there are more and smaller micro bubbles in ratio to the amount of water that the pump pumps. I have been asked 3 or 4 times for plans now so I think its time to make some. May take a day or two for them so please be patient with me.
Disadvantages with this skimmer
1. Auto top off is a must have.
2. Vary loud like sucking on a drink that was done a long time ago.
Advantages
1. No micro bubbles in the display
2. Vary dry skimming

This is a pic of what it skimmed in 4 days. It was a new skimmer the day before I made the video on 10/22/09. I expect it to produce more skim-mate when its more broke in.

I just need one more part that I could not pick up today. I will make step by step instruction for everyone that is interested. I labeled the parts on this pic. I hope it can be read.
