could i use chitons for my coldwater tank.?... its usually 61-64 degrees any suggestions

no, ours are a tropics species only. They handle that kind of temperature in the winter, but I wouldn't do it - the temperate zone is out of their natural range. Good news though is that there are way more chitons in the colder ranges than in the tropics. Maybe you can find one of them, or use a margarita snail instead, they are a coldwater species that is regularly sold.
