Ya, probably 10 years ago now. A friend says, "Hey, my family owns a house at the Salton Sea, let's go spend a 4 day weekend out there." It was 110+, the A/C didn't work well and it smelled to high heaven.

Yeah really, that's an excellent shot.

wow blacks looks like a lot of fun. how often does it get like this?
do you shoot any skate or surf photos with the fisheye?

blacks is like that probably once a week throughout the winter. it holds its shape well through the year but rarely gets much bigger than shoulder-high in the summer. depending on who you ask, it may or may not be the best beachbreak in the country.

no surf or skate shots with the fisheye - that would require me to get in the water (for the surf shots - don't have a housing) or have some friends who skated (for the skate shots). i do have a fisheye shot or 2 of snowboarding though..
