Full Version: birdnest frag how to glue it...?

hi i just got a tyree ponape birdnest and it broke of the frag disk do i just glue it back on its ok if glue touuches it cause im use to my chalices and no glue can touch the skin but theres no way around the frag of the birdnest i have to use glue and the glue will touch the birdnest ... no idea never did a sps before any info or help i would apprecaiate thx's

just glue it back one with a gel based super glue, sorry it's later then you might have hoped but even birds nest can take a rougher handling then we all think.

+1 gel glue with cyanoacrylate. check out in the library articles the one "how to glue coral frags". I just followed that and bought some aquamend and some super glue gel and I couldn't be happier.

yea i have all that glue for when i frag lps i just never did a sps before and didnt know about glue on the accully coral but i got it glued and the polyp's are all open looks neaon green in just atinics and purple and green with all the t5's on needs to grow but heard they grow like weeds so in 3-4 months should be nice thx's all

Yeah follow the how to glue thread. Use a cyanoacrylate gel.

i use epoxy puddy to mount my frags..its the only thing i have so im using that. just mix up a small ball of it, and jam the frag in the puddy. it will feel loose at first, but after a while it hardens and your good to go.
