Hi
Im looking for a 2-5 gal pico to go in my office... Here are my requirements:

1. AIO ( must be..had a picotope and ac70 hangon...and it was a constant mess)

2. I want to keep EASY stuff....zoas, mushrooms, maybe a frogspawn or something

3. Livestock--( yashi goby and shrimp)

4. Lighting....???

Ok, so I'm looking for suggestions, people who have done it, and anyone who may be looking to get rid of theirs..

Please post your tank pics, ideas, etc....

Take a standard 5g and build a false wall. Check the DIY section - there are several examples.

I like the livestock choice.

I went down the same road as you ... started with a 3G Picotope w/ AC70 in my office. After a while, I wanted an AIO ...

I originally wanted a 6G NanoCube, they're such nice AIOs and they look sharp. After talking to my LFS, I picked up an 8G BioCube -- they're only slightly larger and have more wattage for lighting.

Click the 8G BioCube link in my signature for more info smile.gif

i think 8g is too big for my office.....

airman_verde I like your build, but I am looking for something more cube style that I can view from front, not side...

any other suggestions

why not design your own and get the glass cut locally? that way you get exactly the shape you want.

Build a false wall for a 5.5. Its easy and you really need like no skills. Shoot i did mine on a weekend and it turned out just dandy.

not really, this is the tank thats been in my head for like 2 years, it just took me awhile to know how to build it well. since this is my second time around with my cube build, If I could do it a third time, I would save up more money, and build in sump system with a nice side table thats small.. other than that, I'm mad pleased with my cube.

this is a good deal.. I'd go for it! just get a nice light for it and find a clever way to hang it so it doesn't look tacky, Maybe a custom LED pendent from evil.

so you don't want to buy a AIO like a 8gal BC or 6gal Nano but you don't think you can work with glass or DIY. You should post in the hardware section for someone to build you one there are a couple acrylic builders on the board who would be happy to make you a custom tank.

I can build custom glass or acrylic AIO or I have a few on the site.
I would recommend glass.
