I understand about nitrogen bubbles on live rock and all but dose it happen all the time. I mean in the morning i look before lights on and there are no bubbles and by the end of the light cycle they are all over my lr is this normal ? My tank in only 2 months old and water par. are pretty good.

What color are the bubbles? I had diatoms (brown bubbles) on my rock and sand that gave off oxygen and it would only happen when my halide was on. My snails would eat it and that's how I was able to determine it was diatoms versus dinos or cyno.

are they black and shiny? in that case it is probably bubble algae.

I added a frag tank into my system and it had a bunch of bubbles and slime algae everywhere. When the lights were off there were no bubbles, when the lights turned on bubbles were EVERYWHERE. I have a Odyssea 150w MH. I changed the bulbs from the stock 15K to the Phoenix 14K. Algae and bubbles was gone after a week (1 months total of algae and bubbles).

If the bubbles develop over the course of the light cycle I would assume it is O2 given off by cyano. More flow directed on the rocks should help.

cyano is photothentic like plants it grows when the light is on
there is chemical routes but biolgical is the best way to do it chemi is temporary

yeah i up graded my stock pump with a mj-900 and i have a k-nano in the tank i feel if i add my flow it will not allow me to house corals. i want to get the tank in order before i add more than zoas so that should be enough flow in a 12 gal wouldnt anyone think and i have 2 fish in there i feed em spectrum thera A + A every day only what they eat is that too much fuling the cyano ?
