when a red sea max kit gonna come around?

We've started looking into it, but the problem is figuring out a good heatsink mounting method. There are very few "hard mounting" locations in the RSM canopy for something like this. We need to find a way to securely mount the heatsink so that the weight is supported properly. We'll figure something out. Another hurdle is that it's just two of us right now and, believe me, we have a lot on our plates. So we're doing our best to take care of day-to-day operations, fill existing LED kit orders and develop new products at the same time.

I will 1-up you, sir. As a fellow Mac user I know you can use iMovie to capture video from your webcam. Just a thought.

Looks good though. Thanks for taking the time.

I know we have had many customers over the last several weeks waiting VERY patiently to get their hands on these kits and we appreciate that very much. We actually were trying to roll out these kits as quickly as possible, but unfortunately ran into supply problems and manufacturing delays that caught us off-guard. I just know that all those who have ordered will be happy with the upgrades and it will have been worth the wait on their end. biggrin.gif

<wrings hands while anticipating receipt of NC12 3.6 kit muahahah>

I'll try to remember to take some before pics, and pics of the assembly and so forth, along with after pics.

This is either gonna melt my mushrooms, annoy my zoos, and piss off my trumpet, or make them grow like dandelions. I hope for the latter, especially on the trumpet.

Been watching this progress and some real interest in the 3.6 for my BC14 but some questions. For reference, the tank currently has the 3.24 PC upgrade. Stock is Galaxia, Neon Candycane, Frog Spawn, MH Chalice, Zenia (may be removing soon or I'll have a Zenia only tank) and assorted zoas and palys.

If I changed to LED how would I go about acclimating corals to new light? I assume maybe shorter cycle to start with and slowly extending over a couple of weeks? Would I need to move any corals around (i.e. lower) or will they adapt? For those who already using LED, either this kit or DIY what do you think the best choice of blue/white mix is? I'm leaning toward 50/50 for all three strips but wondering if that's the best choice.

yea you get a much better impression of the light, especially the shimmer effect with the video, i just wish i had a better quality camera/recorder to do it justice heh. on a side note my Armor of god and lunar eclipse are loving the light, in just the few days the lights have been in everything looks alot healthier, my xfactor macropora polyps are the largest ive seem them. My clam stopped moving around and is now just soaking up the light, it sure made him happy
