I have a BioCube 14 and it has been up for 8 months. I have zoa, blaastoes, brain coral, and more all doing well. I made a custom pole and hung a 150 watt metal halide with now a brand new 20,000k bulb. My LFS has clams that just came in and there are only 1.5-2" long. What are the requirments to keep one of these??

http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=153218try for a bigger clam, those small ones likley need supplemental feeding....not good for your first go around.
read the link above for lots of good info.

They are too small and will most likely not survive. Look for one that is over 3" in size. Other than that your lighting is fine. Just make sure you keep up with the calcium and calcium carbonate (alkalinity) requirements of the clam as well as the phosphates and nitrates down. Don't have to be zero as a clam does like a bit of nitrate and will act as a decent filter for it.
