Anyone have any experience with a Helio Shrimp? I can't find any info on the net about them.

Found the scientific name Periclimenes koroensis but still can't find much.

I had one for about 30 minutes years ago. Why 30 minutes? Because that was how long I let the page acclimate. When I released it into the tank, a rant01.gif strawberry basslet zoomed over and ate it up.

I don't really have much information on them, other than they are normally found hiding inside long tentacle plate corals (thus the Helio shrimp name). I believe they just scavenge food that the plate coral captures.

Consider asking these guys? If I am not mistaken Mike Maddox is a mod here as well as a contributor to wetweb. Those guys/girls know their stuff.

Sorry you're having such a hard time of finding the basic's. That always sucks. GL!

Mine was hosting what I THINK might be baby plate corals but I turned it around the other night and I guess the shrimp didn't like that because now I can't find her. I have no fish in the tank at the moment, only small inverts so I'm hoping she's just moved in to a good hiding spot.

Thanks. That's actually the site where I found the scientific name.
