Hey guys,
I would like to see what type of refugium landscape has been the most successful in keeping a good colony of copepods breeding. Sand vs. mud and any other combo.

Thanks

Deep mud mixed with sand mix with a large area for cheato and/or mangroves to grow along with a few good peices of LR ( porous with many holes in it) also IME i have found that keeping the fuge on a reverse light cycle helps alot in the growth of cheato.

best wishes! biggrin.gif

Can you be more specific about what exactly you use for your substrate?
How long have you had it set up?
Do you have any pics?

Who's mud do you like the best?

Thanks for the info

i used some very coarse sand along with miracle mud sand and Fiji gold real mud.

Weetie; can get pix cuz the fuge is in a tight spot but i can get pix of my mangroves that are blocking the view. tongue.gif

as for LR i have lots of small "spaghetti" type peices that gives that pods lots of hiding places.

PS: fuge has been up for about 8 months now.

best wishes! biggrin.gif
