snapped quickly and at a slight angle, which is why the pixels go from out of focus to in focus from left to right :X
but gives you an idea of what it can do

Can't wait to see.
It is neat how a simple firmware update can add such features..... but also makes you wonder how many things they left out during production just to get it on the shelves.

like the CDHK hack for canon p&s cameras? adds a crap ton of features, including raw support. makes you wonder why they don't offer it as an option from the manufacturer.

they also added 1:1 picture dimensions... so i can take square pics now in addition to 4:3, 3:2, 16:9
"HDR" and 4mm macro focusing distance are the coolest add-ons tho. What else? Hmm, 20% faster auto focus, better white balance...

I just checked to see if there were any firmware updates for my Nikon 8700... and sure enough there was one.. Look at the awesome new features it would add:
