Hi everyone i just purchased a 11" Haddoni carpet anemone a week ago. well one of my clowns just started to host the anemone and now i am seeing white patches on its sides and fins. the clown is active and eating. can the haddoni be stinging the newly hosted clown a little too strongly? i heard carpets have a pretty powerful sting.

the patches are a little big to be the regular ich (cryptocaryon). also it doesnt look like brooklynella as brooklynella looks like white powder? correct me if im wrong.

the tank is very established. its been about a year and at the start of the tank i used established water and liverock from my tank.

parameters are great

ammonia-nitrite-nitrate-phosphate: 0

so does my clown have a disease or is it possible that its the anemone?

thanks everyone =)

It was just the anemone sting that caused it. it all went away the nest day and all are doing fine. =)

Yeah they will get those as they get used to the anemone. When they host corals they get black spots.
