Hey Everyone...I am dealing with some minor GHA that I want to get under control before it gets any worse. My CUC is lacking. I have a 34g RSM and only about 3 trochus snails, a few Nass., less than 10 hermits and 1 Emerald crab. I'd rather not get the giant Turbo snails because they plow everything over! I wanted to get your recommendations on what critters would do the best job and how many I should get...any advice would be appreciated.

BTW about the GHA-I do weekly 10% water changes with only RO/DI (TDS 0), lights on 8-9hrs/day (bulbs only a month or so old) and feed every 2-3 days.

get some more snails, cerith, turbos, see if you can find someone with a sea hare to loan you. Just try to keep up with manual removal also.

another emerald wouldn't hurt. you could always take him back to the LFS when the algae is under control

Definitely go through reefcleaners.org. Not only are they a sponsor of this site, they're CRAZY cheap. Even after shipping I guarantee it'll be cheaper than purchasing from your LFS. Sometimes you get a freebie too biggrin.gif

Use the Custom CUC link on the site and John will cater to your needs.
