So, I'm applying to college this fall, and I'm making a portfolio of photographs to submit so I have something more reasonable to say when they ask me about my hobbies (I really like fish gets a lot of raised eyebrows). Since I'm not very good at evaluating my own work I'm leaving it up to you guys, the photography experts and novices alike to help me choose the photos that will represent me. This way, if I don't get in where I want I can blame it on you! . So basically I'm posting a list of pictures that I think could be keepers, and you get to tell me which ones to include and which ones to print out just so I can tear them into little pieces and burn them. I'm looking for a final list of 10-ish pictures.
Ok, go!
and if you have any suggestions for processing, etc, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

They're all fantastic shots, but this one keeps drawing my eye... the colors... the in focus/out of focus?

They are all good. Print them. spread them out upside down and pick 10.

First water drop, red leaf, star trail, mantis, and jellyfish if you crop it.

thanks all!
lani, how would you crop it? So that the jelly was left of center?
question: I've always thought that the hummingbird photo was a really cool subject, but otherwise not a great photo. My parents think that it should be included, but I'm leaning against it. Thoughts?

Yep. And for the hummingbird.. it's an impressive action shot, for sure. Maybe after a bit of tweaking!
