All pictures were shot using my Canon XSI and Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Lens.

#10 might of been a nifty fifty, can't remember.

Nice work! I'd say that 1 and 8 are my fav people shots, but mainly because they are more candid. Some of the others have some distracting elements in the frame, but not too bad. And not to be harsh, but I don't get 7.

#7 was the cocktail area of the wedding (after everyone went inside and the bar was moved inside too). I just liked the lights hanging in the sky.

4-9 was from the wedding. I was in the wedding, not the photographer. just some side pictures I took. Thanks for the tips, I will try and move around to eliminate/limit any background distractions.

So I started to try and shoot in RAW, with a tad of post processing. Please comment and critique

11. The exposure needs  a little tweaking.. the white on the building is really blown out. In RAW processing, play with the 'recovery' option and exposure values.

12. Very nice, I like the compo and the exposure is just right!

13. Classic cloud shot, but the blown out sun in the bottom corner creates a problem... soft corner.

14. That would make a great shot if you did a longer exposure. What was the shutter  speed?

15. Motion blur sad.gif I would retake the shot with a faster shutter speed and try to do a HDR image.

16. Horizon is skewed. Crop tool would fix that. I would also crop the empty space on the left side out.

it generally makes people feel queasy, and that gives an otherwise good photo a bad 'feel'.

try fixing the horizon and compare the two, you'll see.
Lalani
Yeah, sometimes the skewed horizon works if it is clearly deliberate, but in that shot it just looks like you were a little off balance when you took the shot. tongue.gif

that girl in the blue kinda ruined the picture for me.

17 has a ton of potential, it just needs some PP loving. I would raise the exposure and then play with levels to get better contrast, then I'd probably do some dodge and burning to recover the highlights in the sky (since raising the exposure will most certainly blow them out).

Also, #1 is an amazing shot. I love it.
