If I use the attachment editor, I get a thumbnail. There is clearly a way to embed. Please help?

Sign up for a photobucket.com account. Upload your pics there and copy/paste the IMG code for each pic into your post.

Why are you using photoshop.com?
Because it is integrated into Elements 7. Regardless of the pros/cons, is my link syntax correct? Or is this problem exactly the reason it is not recommended?

No. It's bracket img end bracket your image url then bracket slash img end bracket.

The problem is you're not embedding a .jpg link and yes, the syntax is incorrect.
Also, looks like you can embed photos from your NR gallery. Check here:

You want it to read your link here (Spaces added so you can actually see the code)
For example mine below reads:
[ IMG]http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d151/tinaev/DSC_8635.jpg[ /IMG]
When I remove the spaces so the code is correct the images appears as below:

If I want to thumb a larger photo so that people can see detail, attach. embedding is a bit smaller, but easy to see. Got it. Thanks for the help.

I had a guy at work call me germy today. I not-so-politely reminded him that my name contained three syllables and had a classic soft e sound. then I had to explain to him what a syllable was. I made him clap and everything. one of the other hosts was laughing so hard he spit coffee all over himself.
