Hi all,
I have a nikon coolpix L16. It's an average digital camera. I have been trying to photograph my my small orange sherbert zoas and my neon green favia but i cant seem to get a good photograph, at least as nice as some posted on here. I have been using macro mode and have been zooming as much as i can without being blurry. I just can't seem to capture the beautiful color and shape/form they have. What can i do?

(flash on or off? tank light on or off? mode? zoom? any experiences with photgraphing with a small digital camera?)

If you have a tripod it helps a lot.

Also, a lot of the really nice pics on here come from people with really nice cameras and lenses haha

+1 to the tripod. also set you shot option to 2 second delay. that way youll be sure your pic wont be fuzzy.

could you post a couple samples of what you have right now? that would give a place to start.
