Hi! After many mistakes and problems with my tank...finally been able to start the upgrade. Current tank dimensions are 30x30x18 rimless tank wiith 1/2 thick glass.
Let me start off with the sketch Marlon (also a member here) helped me with...

And here is the actual tank about 70% complete and being tested for leaks...

Hope you like it.

Yep. The Holes on the sides are for fans. Will be attaching fans in each hole, one for inward ventilation and one for outward. At the back there will also be 2 fans for the ballasts and the avr.
Plumbing is not yet completed. But here is a pic of the sump and in-line frag tank.

and the back of the tank and cab. Will be painting the cabinet white and the cabinet door black.

I like that light setup shown. This (like most tanks) will look extremely cool if it's/will be done right

Thanks bro. I hope we planned it well enough. Read up on a lot of articles regarding the Lumenbrights but none of them seem to give the exact height it should be placed. Thus, we made the mounting for the lights adjustable so we can move the lights up or down in case there would problems.
Will post pics again when we get it from the metal fabricator.

thanks! Cant wait for it to get it up and running. Im planning a 12 week cycling on this tank. Ive seen the effects of having it cycle it properly and thats what I want for this tank.
Btw, anyone have any suggestions on the aquascaping? Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I think this tank would do well with a good amount of rock, but a very simple setup. Something like a Large island in the back right, a smaller island in the back left, and a small island in the front left with open sand to the right would look great.

I want few rocks in the DT. Sort of like a minimalist scaping. A lot of open spaces. Maybe a zoa and rics island at the front right and maybe something like that "bonsai inspired aquascape" at the back left. Then one spotlight for the moonlight will be directed towards the bonsai scaping and one spotlight at the zoa and rics island. All SPS will be placed on the Bonsai Scaping. Maybe acro's, pollicoporas, plating monti caps, and some stags. What do you think?

Just some updates....
Tank has yet to be painted because it has been raining here everyday for the past couple of days.
Piping is almost done however hit a slight snag cause the pump i got was too strong for the return so might have to change that.
Water test is done and no leaks found. Yey!
Here are some pics...

Reef Octo DNW-150 Recirculating Skimmer. It is plumbed directly to one of the pipes coming from the overflow.

Very soon! had to delay the setup cause we were hit by the worst typhoon in Philippine history last weekend. My house and cars were severly damaged but we're still very lucky as compared to other people. Anyway, here is a preview of the fan grills...Tank will be delivered today btw.

Sorry to hear about the typhoon, but glad that you are okay!, I know the tank is far from your mind right now, but when you get the chance, what kind of lighting are you going to use for the frag tank and how are you gonna mount it? Thanks again, and stay safe!

Thanks bro! Actually thinking about the tank takes my mind away from the depression from the damages the typhoon caused.
Will be using a 20K 250Watts SE MH bulb with a Lumenbright reflector mounted on an adjustable metal stand. The animated GIF is how it actually looks like. Will post pics once it has been delivered.

Thanks bro! Some of my neighbors were already using boats and jetskis to get from one place to the next inside the village. No one expected the flooding in our area since this is the 1st time we were ever flooded.

@supersizeme & richard360 - Thanks bro! No one ever really expected it to hit that hard. The rainfall for 8 hours during Saturday exceeded the total amount of rainfall for the entire month of September. Right now were expecting another one to hit and this one is actually stronger than the previous one. im praying that is swerves away but right now its already hit the southern part of the Philippines. Damn! They say it will reach the capital by Saturday! Also, a lot of fellow local reefers here lost a lot of their livestocks during the power outage.
Anyway, on the lighter side of things...got my tank already. Good thing it wasn't delivered last Saturday otherwise it would have also been destroyed. So now that's the only furniture at our 1st floor which is intact. heheh!
Will post pics later.
