hello everyone im not really new around here but I rarely post as I enjoy reading the numerous threads, anyways current tank specs are
28 gallon jbj w\ nano tuners pc upgrade \ cpr backpak med \ tunze 9002 \ reef keeper elite \ mp 20 w

Im sick of the limitation's of the AIO style so my build thread starts today. I picked this tank up second or third hand last weekend to try and save a buck or two with sump system, metal stand and vertex 100 skimmer i was supposed to get rocks as well, but i let the guy keep them as i have had bad luck with second hand rocks. Total cost $450 cdn.

With getting third hand tips about me skating on thin ice at my job because im 10 mins late everyday, nevermind 30 mins minimum overtime i put in everyday and countless weekends i go in unpaid. This tank build took a turn for the better. Im going to have to cut costs and stick to rough budget @ around $1500 cdn build cost most of which i will absorb after its complete and my 28 is shut down.

I have decided to scrap the sump and the metal stand as im not happy with them, so i dont think i saved much on tank as i believe a new one would of been around the 300 mark for a similar build. saved about 100 on the skimmer.

First up, DIY tank stand ( this could be fail but we will see )
I have no previous building experiance other then that of ginger bread houses which usually look pretty terrible

RUNNING TANK TALLY

I love the dimensions of that tank. Any close ups?

Thank you, I loved the dimensions of the tank as well i think thats why i opted to buy it.

Well, its upside down in my backyard, from giving it so much love on monday night with a huge cleaning. I will be taking more pictures hopefully tommorow night, I still have to chop off the plumbing but cant find my hacksaw. As i will be starting that from scratch as well. It got dark outside while i was writing my post. So no pictures of it tonight. The overflow box is external to the tank dimensions and has 2x 1 1/2 inch drain holes.
