Thanks! I really wish I had a proper macro camera, because these corals deserve better pics. The good shots I do get are either a stroke of luck, or because I'm using a magnifying glass. The shot of the clado was probably the best up-close photo I've taken!

Thanks ap and DH! The exam went pretty well (I think). Of course, everyone there hated me when I finished, because I was done about an hour early. I'm a very fast reader though, and my philosophy is that I either know it or I don't, so I go with my gut.

Unfortunately, it will be 5 weeks before I know the outcome.

I'm contemplating going to find a replacement soldier for Lt. Sammie today. I want to get something inexpensive, but the only thing the good LFS has is the chromis. I'm contemplating visiting a crappy LFS to see if they have anything else inexpensive, but I don't know if it's worth the risk.

I say some type of blenny.

Well, I'm planning on Starry blenny down the line, but I don't think my 29g is anywhere close to being ready to support a grazer like that.

You know.... maybe I'll try to find a neon goby. Given that the chalk bass can be evil toward shrimp, maybe it would be nice to have a cleaner in the form of the neon. Hm....

Well, I think I might add the Neon Goby to my order when I'm ready to pick up the chalk bass. Even the good LFS sells the weeee little Neons for more than $20 or $25, when they have them. The Chromis are $9. I could get another chromis plus a little coral for the same amount of money.

OR.... I may see another inexpensive fish, if they have one. I heard they just got a new Caribbean shipment.

Oh, and on the coral order front:

I think I've decided to get the Alien Eye chalice, the copper poci, and the neon green hydnophora.. However, since it's $10 less than the acan and the micro, I've decided to spend that $10 on another coral.

So, here are the options:

A) 2 more of the copper poci

B) 1 more neon green hydnophora

C) 1 orange monti digi

D) 1 green monti digi

E) 1 deep red acro

In other news, I think I'm going to put in the ATI bulbs tonight. I'm going to wait until it's really dark though, so that I can have a nice and dramatic comparison of FTS with the two sets of bulbs (stock and ATI).

Ok, so unless they are out of one of the corals, my order from Lucid Propagation will be:

• Alien Eye Chalice
• Copper Poci
• Deep Red Acro
• Neon Green Hydnophora

Now, the question becomes what should go where? The 20L or the 29g?

My thought is to put the deep red acro in the 20L and the Alien Eye in the 29g. The trouble is with the remaining two. They are technically SPS, and I doubt that my 29g is established enough for SPS. However, from what I understand, the poci is a pretty hardy coral, so I'm leaning toward the 29g. The hydnophora, as I understand it, is a more difficult coral, but it's more aggressive than most SPS. In the 20L, I don't have much room right now for an aggressive coral.

As was the case with Lt. Sammie, Lt. Bud has taken up residence in West Berlin. He'll occasionally go on patrol near the Wall, but he seems to be content on the far west.

I'm placing the order in conjunction with a local reefer. We'll be putting the order in on Monday. I have to check with the other person as to whether we are getting the order on Wednesday or Friday, because it's the only day I'm home to take delivery.

The only problem is that this tank is probably a wee bit young for Acros.

Down the road, a frag from the coral will make it in though. A red acro is going on the peak of the right mountain though. It will be the flag of the reds.
