Well, some fragging and coral placement took place today. Adding to the bad news category was my war coral, which fell (or was pushed ) into the frog. A few of the heads are goners, while the rest seem OK. I've now moved it to the sand, for it to rest and recover. Oh, in other news, the mini nem decided to go on another walkabout. At least this time, I found him without incident.

Tell me about it! At least he is staying in a decent position, and in the same grouping of rocks. I guess he just wasn't getting enough light at the other spot, so maybe he'll stay around here. I'm also planning on feeding more often, so that should entice him to stay as well.

Oh, and I should mention that the RCG seems to be doing well still in the 20L, but I'm still planning to wait until next Thursday or Friday before moving him to the 29g, just to be safe.

So how are you feeling about the fragging of the digitata?

It's too soon to tell. Today was probably the last day I could frag substantial pieces before the damage was too much, so I really didn't have much a choice. I tried to cut each well clear from the terminal edge, so hopefully that is enough to do the trick.

Oh, and for what it's worth.... I HATE STUDYING FOR THE BAR.

I've been doing 6 or 7 of the 17 bar subjects per day, and I've been doing this all week. Sadly, this will continue through the weekend, because the bar exam starts Tuesday.

hey, how's that new rodi unit? I'm thinking about getting a new one.

I'm in the wonderful world of bar studies. It starts Tuesday morning.



It's actually rather nice! I've got cold water ATM, so the GPH isn't all that great for a 90GPD unit, but once the water line warms up as spring approaches, it will really crank out the water. I think right now, I'm getting about 45GPD. The dual TDS is also very nice for keeping an eye on the DI. IMO, it's some very wet water.

sounds good...i think i may get one. my mighty mite just isn't cutting it.

I don't know if their customer appreciation sale is still going, but if it is, that's certainly the way to go! I don't think you'll find much better of a unit at those prices.

That's the lesson I learned as well. I bought a RO unit from Lowes when I bought the house, thinking it would do the trick for the aquariums. Instead, it wasn't up to the job at all. That's why I went with SpectraPure this time, even though I too didn't really want to spend the money. I guess when you're this far into the hobby, sometimes you just have to hold your nose for equipment purchases like that.

Yeah, that doesn't help either. This has been a rough year for me, but at least it's going to be turning around. Assuming I get my license in May, I'll have a nice salary as the first staff attorney under the director of the center.

Still so far, so good. My bar studies and her exams have been complicating things still, but we had fun last weekend. Next weekend will also be complicated, it sounds, because she's required to attend some weekend conference. That means it's probably going to be tough to get her doing something for my bday next weekend. Oh, and three of her family members have a bday the day after mine, so that will also further kill the possibility of me doing much with her over the weekend.

Sometimes I wonder....

Oh, and to give you a clue of my other secret missions.... I've got a girl from jersey interested in me these days (she's rather smart and cute too).... and my ex started texting me again yesterday, and then added me on facebook. Apparently, she's going to be moving into my city this summer.

Well, I think I've learned all that I can before the bar exam. Tomorrow morning at 0830, it all begins! In other words, my mind will be fried before the end of the exam Thursday.

meh, i'm going to keep my mighty mite. i think my filters just need to be changed and all will be good again. plus, i might be able to add a 75gpd membrane and up the production rate. i don't need to be spending $150 right now on something i don't need.

Aye, if that's an option, I'd go with it as well. The jump just made sense for me because I was looking at basically $100's worth of replacement cartridges and membranes for a crappy RO unit.

yeah, it's like $27 to change inline filters and DI - my RO membrane is fine, I think. Just more affordable. Once the RO goes, I'll up it to 75 or maybe 150 if I can.

Hey guys! It's been a while since I was in the barrel. I went back a couple of pages and I am dissapointed to so no shinanigans goings ons. Of course with all that goes on in WL its easy to see why lol. Hows the digi doing? I had STN on an acro of mine and Revive Coral Cleaner helped alot. If you want I can put enough for a few dips in a small bottle and ship it to you. That is if you still have the part that has STN.

Hey Opy! Yeah, it's been a bit calm around here, largely on account of my studying for the bar. The remaining part of the digi colony is not looking good. However, the frags I cut all seem to be OK right now. I did a Lugol's dip for each, which I think also helped. I might take you up on the Cleaner offer, but I want to let everything settle in a bit before putting them through another round of stress. Thanks for the offer!

Well, Day 1 of the Ohio Bar Exam is over! It went a bit better than I was expecting, although some questions were really out of left field. Tomorrow is multiple guess day, so at least I don't have to do as much writing.

I was feeling good about it before, but after today, I felt even better. I also had it on good authority that it's possible to score 0 points on one of the essays, and still pass. To get a 0, you pretty much have to leave the page blank, or write an essay on the origins of man. Needless to say, I'm very sure that I didn't get a 0 on any single subject. Actually, I'm pretty sure that I scored at least average on each, which is all that is necessary to pass!

As I'm sitting here, it seems very strange to be about halfway through the bar exam. This is the exam that's been on the horizon for almost three years, and now here it is, almost done. Very weird indeed.

Kinda like a vacation you booked a year in advance. You dont think it will ever get here then BAM here it is. Well they say it's all down hill from here (meaning after the bar). You also know they lie right . Of course they could have been talking about the alchohol bar .

Yeah, I think you're right. After all, it's only two months, and the two months between my last law school final and the bar exam vanished into thin air.

So, day two of the bar is OVER. That just leaves tomorrow as the LAST DAY!! Of course, the fun is delayed, because I have to follow up the exam with a trip to the friendly neighborhood DMV to renew my license and registration.

Well, I do know that copious amounts of alcohol will be consumed at some point after the bar. Primarily at a bar.

Anyways, I'm back among the real world and better now! My first order of business is to move the red clown goby to the 29g. I finally caught the little fella a few minutes ago, and he's currently dripping. He's done well through his two weeks of QT in the 20L, but I never saw him come out to feed. I suspect that he either secretly snagged some mysis or he was feeding off the natives. Anyways, before I release him into the 29, I'll try to finally take a good picture of this guy in the net.

Purdy good. Friday night was crazy, yesterday (my bday) was more about recovery, and today I've got family coming into town for the day. And, things are still moving forward on the negotiations with the vet, slowly but surely.

The tank is doing pretty well too.
