How does heat on these compare to std PC lights?
Figures I buy a chiller the day the LED stuff comes out. Oh well, at least I didn't get a lighting upgrade yet :-O
Looks awesome.

I'll put it to you this way... my temperatures on a normal day seem to increase about 0.7 - 1.3 degrees over the course of the day. I attribute most of that to ambient temperature shifts. Heat output is real low.

My hood isn't for sale, but we do offer the retrofit kits on our website now and are typically able to sell hoods with the upgrades pre-installed as well.

Hey guys,
Curious to see if there will be a LED kit for the Red Sea Max.
I remember reading up on a thread a couple of years ago that you were releasing a special control unit that would allow for weather parameters (cloud coverage, lightning storms, etc). Is that still coming out ?

The "supercube" project is on hold. We'd love to develop our own controllers, etc, but that's some day down the road.
We're looking into Red Sea LED options, however right now the majority of our efforts are being spent on getting existing LED orders shipped out! We plan to have Red Sea upgrades in the near future.
