I just tried doing a Kenya Tree frag the other day.

I am having some trouble though, I have been trying to use Super glue to get the frag
attached, Weird thing is i can`t seem to get it to stay on the Rubble rock for long.
It attaches VERY well, but like a day later it seems like its been pulled off somehow.

This is very frustrating, Its not producing any sort of mucus so i don`t know whats causing this.

My kenya tree grew like a weed. Unless you want a tank full of kenya tree, I would kill it before it spreads. It is terribly hard to eradicate once it takes hold of a tank.

If you want to frag it . . .
Just place a piece of rock rubble next to the existing colony and it will grow onto it. You could also lay the colony on its side and place rubble on top of the colony branches, and it will grow onto the rubble.

Overall, I wish I never added it to my tank.

i had the same problem this coral doesnt copperate with glue. I fixed it by rubber banding it to a piece of rubble and i keep my kenya under control by fragging it to a nub once it gets big and give it to my lfs to sell.

no it wont hurt the coral infact the coral will grow over the rubberband if u leave it there long enough. smile.gif

Oh?

I couldn't imagen that.
although i suppose it could happen.

Also, What do you think about what skimmerdude said?
As in placing the colony on its side.

Would that do anything?

I used super glue and tied the frag with fishing line, its been 5 days and so far so good.

easiest method = empty snail shell + shove frag in shell's hole. It will attach fairly quickly
