inTank
We will have a table at this event. inTank's first ever frag swap/meeting with the public. Please show up to tell us how crappy our acrylic junk is.

We will offer sales on all items but will not have anything but demo models at the event. To make up for this we will ship everything free of charge! Anyone that stops buy will be offered a free shipping coupon code if you do not want to purchase on Saturday. Good until the end of September!

We will have small items like the underwater lights for sale. Maybe some Chemi-Pure to cure the cancer.

Demos of most products will be available to put your hands on. A few tanks will be set up to show installation and how this all works.

Grab a few frags and a Media Basket September 19th!

Reminder. Come check out the frag swap this Saturday!

If you would like to look at inTank's crappy products please watch out for a large banner like this: Since I am the ONLY non coral vendor at the event, it should be really hard to find my table. I will be the guy with empty tanks and dry water.

Lawnman
Good luck this weekend. I hope you make a fortune wink.gif
StevieT
Wet Thumb Frags flew in all the way from LA!!! Her table is right next to mine, it was very interesting to see how she transported all the corals. I am extremely impressed.

See some of you there.

GFY to all the rest

Personally I do not have any of your products, but I have heard others say they feel the same way you do.
Lawnman
Well how did it go? Did you get some sales and pitchers? Let us know.
StevieT
It went as expected. Just to gain interest, get my name out, market and network. No Point of sales for me I am the only vendor that lost money. But free shipping coupons were handed out, lots of them! That way I didn't have to lug product there to sell. Most had larger tanks but still some AIO interest. Couple N-R members showed up and it was nice to see their faces.

I was going to sell the underwater lights but my vendor never entered my large order last week and I am low on current stock so mad.gif . Could have sold a bunch. No biggie again free shipping coupons and they can check out the site.

Picked up about 8 frags. Pics on my tank thread and more of the new corals to come early next week after they look better.

We had a great turnout! Over 200 people preregistered and it was steady traffic all day long. The only bummer was all the windows. Great for my products, bad for viewing corals.
Lawnman
That is great you had a good turn out. Your booth looked great I liked all the inTank crap on your table. Who is that tool you hired to sell your stuff? laugh.gif

+1 laugh.gif

Seriously though, I have been to a few of those now and I must say that is an impressive, professional looking display there Steve. Hopefully it turns a few sales down the road. You gave out coupons so you should be able to tell what if any sales were generated from there, yes?

Nice job though. Had a good time at least? huh.gif
plainrt
why is your water dry?

I will be able to track every sale from this event so yes. That is unless the coupon code leaks out laugh.gif but I can go by ship to as well if that becomes the case.

I had a great time. Did some major networking which was the main reason why I did this. I was totally out of place and most that passed by said "interesting, great idea do you make them for my sump" haha

70% at first glance thought they were frag racks. laugh.gif

My goal is to push the nano hobby and the AIO tanks. There is still that stigma that larger is better and most think that a small tank can not be long term. My mission is to change that and I believe I have proven that personally and we all have here on this site.

Lake Michigan water

Nice to see you there, did you pick up any nice pieces?
Lawnman
I really enjoy the AIO thought about doing a bigger tank but I really like the AIO. I would like to get some chemi pure elite but can't afford the shipping. Wish there was a free shipping code or something that would leak out. rolleyes.gif
StevieT
min purchase is $15 cheapo
plainrt
Ic did you like that model of lake michigan there? That water was way to clean.Needed some sewer water pumped into it or something.I got alot of frags but were all smaller more expensive items that i wanted to get in my tank before I had no room anywhere.I did get some nice items from the lady next to you at wet thumb frags. She was really nice to deal with.I understand what your trying to say about people and thoughts on nanos......I must have heard from about 10 locals that know my tank all kinds of bull like,Why dont you get a bigger tank, you dont have room for that in there,You need a actual tank....Blah Blah Blah.It kind of ruined my day walking around and dealing with people saying stuff like that.Im sorry if my 30 gallon tank is full and i dont have a 120 or something full of rock and 3 frags.
StevieT
I love sharing with the "big" boys how a nano actually works. They learn so much from us on how to actually run a tank on a simple platform that is extremely successful. I just ignore the negative attitude they may have and try and teach them how it is really done.

On the 7:15am broadcast on channel 12 they guy said bigger is always better. That really got me going. Nano reefs are the larges growing aspect of this hobby. The market is HUGE and the money is as big. If they keep ignoring it and do not market 1. someone else will and is 2. They will be left behind.

Tina from wet thumbs was so nice. We talked all of Saturday and Friday night. I am going to bring her and her husband over here as a sponsor. They want more exosure that gains results and they are very ticked off at reef central and their BS. They pay ungodly amounts of money every month for sponsorship and get nothing for it.

They were featured on LA fish guy.

I didn't get to run around the museum because of the show but I was there last year so I have seen all of it. They hand scrub all the tanks and the lake model twice a week. It takes two people 4 hours to scrub the lakes.

I got a personal behind the scenes tour of the aquarium. It was amazing. Their protein skimmers are gigantic, they have two for the Caribbean tank which is 60,000 US gallons.

They actually have more fish in the lakes but have them in a holding tank right now. They were polluting the lakes too much and got sick of all the maintenance.

When I was attending MSOE I went to all the museums that Milwaukee had to offer... free of charge to Students. This place I never got to go in. So did you take any more pictures?

Glad to see you pushing your products. Professional display. The only thing I would change is a 3 corner black acrylic box on the submersible light. You want to show people during the day, just how bright it is. I like your company colors!

Keep up the great work.
StevieT
I was thinking about making something like that and you are right. I just was short on time. This place was all windows and it was a sunny day. There would have been no showing how bright they actually are, most of the coral vendor were pretty mad about that because their corals did not look as nice.

This is about all the pictures I took. I should have taken more but I was busy with the show. I am usually the one to take them too, snapped 720 pictures today at the packer game!

Cool you went to MSOE.

Hi Stevie- it was good to see you there! smile.gif

I thought the swap went well- I got some really nice things, I think if I had bargain-hunted a little more I would have found a few others. I would have liked to see some guest speakers, a raffle, things like that, but for the first year I thought it was a good swap.

+1 I saw the LA fish guy episode and they have a top notch set up. Gladly welcome them to N-R

I haven't heard of wet thumbs hope they come over. I agree with Plain I get sick of hearing sump sump sump. I like the AIO and it serves its purpose for me. With your products it pushes the AIO to its max filtering potential. I will be sending you a order soon for some CPE.

Cheapo you know better biggrin.gif

Hey Tash great of you to stop on out. We were talking afterward and they agreed that a speaker is needed and a raffle. Apparently they had one arranged but something fell through. Next year for sure I was told.

They have room to grow so I expect next year to be even larger. I am so tired today, I had that show all day Saturday then at the Packer game yesterday. Time to go stare at the tank and relax. Nice to see you.
DHaut
i bought from stevie once. he made me pay shipping. cheap bastard.
StevieT
DHaut was a customer of mine. I made him pay shipping and made him pay for the product. Suckers are born every day.
