This weekend I scored big! I traded 10 frags of zoanthids! Yes 10 frags! For this entire setup!

The pics came from before it was actually taken apart and transported. Notice all the hair algae!! Going to cook the rock!

I got this for 13 zoanthid frags

This for 2 zoanthid frags

and last but not least this for 1 zoanthid frag (250w magnetic ballast)

The tank is a Tenecor 96"Lx15"Dx18"T. It has a center overflow with a 2" drain. The tank is in great shape, just acouple scratches that are noticable when filled. It came with over 100lbs of live rock. 3 of the pieces were too large for 5 gallon salt buckts. Just for reference there are only 5 pieces of rock! The return pump is a mag12, and it came with a Euroreef skimmer, a CUC, a niger trigger, coral banned shrimp, 2 48" Coralife PC fixtures, a koraline 3 and 4 power head!

Over all it turned out to be a good weekend! Now to frag some more zoas!

why cook the rock? Get params in check and a kickass cleanup crew and give it a month.
Chyendra
Cook it... Even with a good clean-up crew, it may still come back. Ugh... Hair algea...

AWESOME deal by the way... what type of fish are in there?

From the picture I see a threadfin butterfly!!!

Don't cook it. Get a couple of tangs and let them go to town.

I bet an mp40 could make some mean waves in that long, skinny tank.

I would just blast it with a power washer and stick it in the tank, but this tank won't be set up for about a month. I am getting ready to move and we will hopefully be purchasing our first home and it will be set up then. So, no place to put the rock as of right now, just have a couple spare tanks in the basement that i will put flow on and skim.

Thanks! It will be about 1 month before setup. This depending on when i get moved I get started on it right away.

I agree, i think i came out better in each of these transactions,

I doubt i go with a mp40, but i am debating whether or not to add a CL and go bare bottom with this setup and turn it into a SPS predator reef. Triggers, eels, lionfish.....

I really like cubes, but really miss having some of the fish that need a lot of swimming room.
I actually have been tempted to have custom 120x12x12 shallow 10 footer built for a long time now lit up with T-5's to display my zoa collection. So i am kinda up in the air what to do with this tank.

Here are some shots from tonight of the Niger that came with the setup. He will reside in the 40g cube until his home is ready to go. He is about 6-7" from nose to streamer. Very very active, and begs like a dog for food!

Niger trigger.. changes color with lighting usually blackish blue and RELATIVELY reef safe... they are probably one of the more docile triggers

Great deal by the way! Down the line I plan to set up another big aggressive FOWLR
