There's no way you guys are feeding several times a week with a next day water change every time! Or is that one big feeding per week with a wc.?

I feed my picos mysis ~3 times per week and nitrates always read zero according to my API test kits. I think it is a combination of feeding single chunks of mysis to individual corals with tongs, rinsing all food with RO, filtering with micron fabric instead of filter floss and having chaeto in the fuge with plenty of light. Water changes aren't all that effective unless they are huge and often, it is best to have a setup that zeros out on its own.

I hand feed my LPS 3 times a week (rod's and mysis) and microvore the softies twice a week with a 25% water change every Saturday and bi-weekly testing. My params are all A-OK, except pH but that's another issue. : /
