Hi all, just wanted to share some pics. My husband and I started a 20H nano right before Thanksgiving, and we upgraded to a 50 gallon (36x18x18) on 7/19, drilled in the back with a 20L sump. The 20H was just getting ridiculously packed with corals to the point where there wasn't even an aquascape anymore... it was just coral storage until the upgrade could happen- too many good deals in the local reef club that we couldn't pass up!

Here's the last pic we have of the 20H:

And here's some pics of the 50, taken a few days ago:

Fish: ORA misbar perc, yasha goby, filamented flasher wrasse
Softies: various zoas and palys, rics and other shrooms
LPS: Frogspawn, candy cane, 2 acans and 4 acan frags, scolymia (I think)
SPS: Psammocora, yellow acro (can't remember the name), ORA green birdsnest

Our lighting is Current Nova Extreme Pro 6x 39W HO T5. We have a CSS 125 in the sump, and our return pump is a Mag 7. There are 2 Koralia 2s in the display for additional flow.

Thanks for looking, we're stoked to have the extra room and can't wait until our frags grow out! cool.gif

Well, you could go with a 50 like I did, or a 58, or a 65- all are 36" tanks. 50 is not available in RR, but I know that 58 is and I'm pretty sure 65 is too.

That's a great looking cap and a hell of a nice tank upgrade.

Great looking tank! Looks alot like my friend's 50. I did a double take.

Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately, I lost that cap when I had some life circumstances get in the way of my maintenance schedule. wink.gif Sucks, but things are back on track now.

What are you doing with the sump? Like skimmer, fuge, etc. ?

I have a 20 long for a sump and it's pretty much as simple as it gets. No real refugium, there's only one divider in the sump, and a small area for the return pump. I have a Coralife skimmer 125 and a "media box" for some LR rubble made out of eggcrate.

what kind of light are you running on there??

great tank!!
harpua02
Thanks, I have a Nova Extreme Pro 6x 39W T5 HO. I'm using Giesemann bulbs but it's been a while since replacement and I don't remember which ones.

looking good, that wrasse is fineeeeeee, haha- Andrew
harpua02
The wrasse jumped a few months ago even with a netting cover on the tank. sad.gif

Stock list is now a twinspot hogfish, tangaroa goby, misbar perc clown, and unidentified blue dartfish.
harpua02
The hogfish jumped. I'm pissed. The netting cover hasn't worked for me so I'm probably going with a glass top for this tank. mad.gif
