Not bad. The ER is a good skimmer but there are many better ones out there. The ER was the best in 2002

ATI 250 on my old 120 in 3 days. Not as dark at the ER but still smells like dung.

What, you don't get ora stuff up there? Only ora corals I have are red planet and green digi, on the look out for pearlberry though.

Of course, we have plenty of ORA stuff up here ... from fish to corals ... we got most of it.

I don't blame you for not giving advice ... everyone wants to hear what they want to hear on that site ... their egos are far too fragile ... somehow they feel their tank defines who they are as people ... I heard great things about the ATI skimmers ... I am going to look into one for sure ... you are man when it comes to keeping SPS ... any other ideas you have ... you see what I have running on my tank in the first post. Seriously. I follow what people say very carefully!

It's been such a crazy summer ... I am going to make it a point to come and visit your tank ... you looking for anything in particular ... frags? I would be happy to cut something for you.

david, i got my pearlberry last night! And a small colony of Bird of paradise. My mandarins also did the "naughty dance"! I had a video of bit but the camera didn't save it.

It's awesome, i have pics in my thread. My dad was at the store on hiis way home and sent me pics of what they had. It was all washed out in the pic so i decided to chance it hoping it wouldn't be browned out and based on his description it was all colored up. the gamble payed off. The bop is the size of my fist! All the frags I've seen of it are just 2 or 3 branches.

I can't wait to see everything grown out ... I mean ... it's evident everything is growing very quickly ... all of the frags are fully encrusted and starting to branch out ... the colonies ... they are forming new branches all of the time! Very exciting to see everything doing so well!

in other news, I redid the scape in my tank but i'm dissatisfied with it. so frustrating. also, pretty sure the birdsnest bit the dust.

my monti caps are browning out but the acros and milli are doing great. I can't figure it out.

Hmmmmmm ... something is a miss in the tank for the montis to be browning ... what are the parameters, and where do you have them placed?

i need to test again tonight - I tested a couple days ago and everything was pretty spot on. it may still be alk or pH swings that I'm not there to test.

they're in the lower part of the 9g, but that 150w light is damn strong.

Awesome new addition to the collection. You are certainly getting some really nice sized frags of some really nice corals. Perfect for your sized tank and it will be nice not having to wait on 1/4" frags to grow in a large tank

I don't really ask for it ... funny enough ... seriously I was looking at Liveaquaria for the Purple Rim Efflo ... 99.95 plus 34.95 shipping ... for a small 1" frag ... given liveaquaria rocks and all ... but for that one frag ... no thanks.

DIY LED project tonight ... yay ... my friend gave me the power supply and the leds ... time to put it all together ... just going to use them for actinic supplement and transition lights before the VHO's come on.

More bad news with MR ... me of all people has been banned by my local reefing site ... apparently they "think" i spammed their website to get people to join this new site www.brooklynreefs.com ... which a friend started and signed me up as a mod (whatever that may mean) ... Obviously we know how threatened Manhattan Reefs is considering it's only been up for 2 days now. I think I have better things to do with my time then to spam them for members to come join another site. Whatever ... that site is becoming a smaller version of RC ... you can't disagree with people on there (regardless of how insane they are ... like the guy who thinks there is a big conspiracy with Ecotech) ... you can't say someone is wrong ... the mods edit your posts or just flat out delete them if you do.

Yeah ... I was banned ... for whatever their reason is ... kinda lame ... but all of what I suspect is going on with that site truly is. Small c0ck syndrome ... typical behavior from the locals. lol. They also feel the need to control you from other websites ... i wouldn't be surprised if they are reading this forum. Thank goodness most of those members are staying off of here ... I don't think they will mix in too well with this crowd.

In other good news ... I went over to a friends place who took us to one of his collectors friends home ... he gave me a GIANT piece of Chili Peppers Monti ... this guy was a hardcore, and I mean hardcore collector of LPS ... chalices of EVERY type ... some of the largest Rainbow, Skittles acans I have ever seen. Fish galore ... it was amaaaaaazzzzzziiiiinnnnngggggggg. Too intense for my taste ... but still very impressive! I also got a piece of Sunset Monti from my friend.

Sounds like it was a great night for you! Can't wait to see pics of the new pieces, very cool.
